  1. glad to hear about this book; i think, the rarity there listed for coins variants should be considering as known to the author
  2. Closing day - May 16 2013 - The Robert W Julian collection of russian rubles Catherine II through Nicholas II
  3. I would agree with BKB and add that each experience and advanced collector is able to figure out with all tools an literature available what is it; this data base would had been useful twenty years ago, when there was no internet and so many modern catalogs complied as of these days
  4. reading all above makes me recall again that idea of the database was frozen in the very past - when russian coins cost little/ very little; now, when middle class cannot afford anymore to assemble modern russian imperial coin collection, ideas of database/fake database has been dramatically eraised; i feel bed about not doing so twenty years ago by same person/s but now want it these days when there are nothing to afford; by now we can only keep us busy identifying fakes for example...so sad

  10. First for so many years there is an auction in russia of NAMED collection of Roman Beigel'. Highly recommended to review it ! And, open to discussion of these and similar pieces who collect this part of imperial russian-polish issues coinage. Here is a link to: http://www.adacoins.ru/catalog.php?aid=22&all=1 Аукцион собран большой и интересный.
