I really want one that's UNC, but they're pricey.
There are several varieties of large cents that have similar "through the stars" die breaks. The 1820 N-13 (I think) is even better looking.
-
I agree. Been looking for them at coin shows but nothing has turned up except really worn ones (G-VG). The cracks were barely visable even under magnification.
Like this? I bought this one for the die breaks, too

I never have found a decent '55 knob-on-ear
You got a good one

Provisional Token Coinage of the 18th Century - Dalton & Hamer. It's the 1996 Davisson's reprint, brand new. This is the "bible" for Conder Token collectors.

Are those grafitti marks dead center of the reverse of the 1856?

Neat coins!!!
That Coronation Crown is my favorite Elizabeth II coin

Boka's book is wonderful. I hope that you enjoy it.
Your great review earlier in this thread sure helped me

I ordered "Provenance Gallery of the Year 1794 United States Large Cents" by Al Boka (not here yet), and picked up a new 2006 Krause.

Wow. For aluminum, that is a real beauty, Tiff
How'd you get aluminum to be so photogenic? All my attempts at decent aluminum pics are garbage

Heh heh heh ...

Another fabulous Goetz medal
Von Richtofen was an incredible pilot in his day.

WOW !!! Incredible toning ... I just love that medal
Wonderful design and beautiful relief.

I really like the political tokens from that era, someday I would like to find a Thomas Paine token.
I also like a very common one, the Incline Plane at Coalbrookedale.
Well, here you go ...
1792 Halfpenny sized Conder Token. Shropshire, Coalbrook Dale Ketley. Iron Bridge at Coalbrook Dale. Inclined Plane at Ketley. DH.29

Sheesh. Lots of them I wanted but never owned.
I think to say ALL regular issues prior to 1800 would cover it pretty well.
-
this is the book you're talking about, right? i haven't actually seen one before ...
Yep ... that's the one. Mine should be here in a week or so
-
Just got mine yesterday ... The new layout is impressive, but what really grabbed my attention is the new photos. They finally got really GOOD pics of most of the coins. This edition is a keeper

Congratulations, Krypto !!!
Looking forward to seeing the ad, too

I think that Albquerquequequeque has a rather large stamp club. If not, you can always go north to Santa Fe. I understand they have a very active club.
I never could spell Albuquerque....
Good one, Art !!!
Naw, I'd better not. I spend too much on metal thingies with Victoria already
-
Any coin with Victoria on it is sexy
-
Victoria is on stamps ... uh-oh ... I'm in serious trouble now
-
Cool !!! Another book I need to get
-
I love it ... nice strike and color
But I have no clue as to its value
