  9. g,day thanks for your comment and reply, my main interest in my declining years is going to be collecting US 1 5 &25 cents to jump start my enthusiasm and I am going to use my UK Ca and aussie stuff to trade for them, while I have indexing them all I keep finding these odd ones, Kind Regards Al yesterday I found a SA 1941 1d very strange with "imperator" on it
  10. I found this in my loose stuff what do you all think of it??? kind Regards Al
  11. I could probably agree but to what end, what would be the purpose, the coin itself wouldn't raise a brass farthing in worth even without a rim, still its worth looking at hey!!!! Kind Regards Al
  12. what are the thoughts on this one marked as small head no rim regards Al
  13. g,day Constanius WOW. we can see the 6 in the other one is almost closed over hey! good work mate, I have to scrub out the 8 and move to a six. these coins are absolutely worthless here but I have loved collecting them, I worked out the other day I can get 150.00 for my uk pennies in bulk copper etc, heaven knows what for my 1/2d and farthings of which I have bucket loads more, still having fun with them though. I appreciate your comments kind Regards Al
  14. it could be that the wear has turned a 6 into an eight who knows.
  15. g,day I have loaded the reverse and I zoomed up the obverse to have another look the date is clearly 1828 the coin with card is 19g and approx. 34ml across maybe it was from another commonwealth country maybe it was a home made one . Regards Al
  16. what a dill brain I am fancy putting 2 pics of the same I am sorry everyone. I will put the reverse up after giving myself an uppercut. kind Regards Al
  17. I was under the impression that the OZ silver coins went all the way up to 1952 and only changed with QE11 coronation. 3d 6d 1/- and 2/- or florin.. Kind Regards Al
  18. Constanius the pic above is the same as the actual, the date is clear enough to read it has to be a halfpenny hey! Regards Al
  19. yes I just discovered it wasn't minted and that it is a halfpenny which is cool I can add it to my 1/2d list it weighs 18g with a card and you are right the normal pennies are around 9g regards Al
  20. this coin appears to be different to the rest thicker heavier even sticks out of the card more than the others. I have no scales the size appears the same as other UK pennies?????
  21. g,day just had a look at the book and I believe the 3d 6d 1/- were silver up to the coronation year, and I think the UK silver was stopped a lot earlier, though cant prove it. you have some lovely coins there didn't see the scarce 1932 florin I finally got mine to finish the set though it is only EF at best. for years I have stared at my florin set with the 32 33 and 39 scarce one blank, so I am stoked to have finally completed it Kind Regards Al ps I think OZ nicknames were the Zack the dena and the two bob.
