  1. Wow! some of these coins are fabulous!!
  2. The first year of Jahangir's reign was 1658 (he ruled for 48 years) so his 31st year would be 1658+30 = 1688. But who's complaining.... By the way, nice coin.
  3. Here's my coin for 1693 6 Kreuzer Austria Leopold I (1657-1705) Dated 1693 KM 82
  4. and the second coin is - Silver Rupee Aurangzeb Alamgir KM#300.39 Badr e munir Wt 11.4 gms Itawah Mint dated AH 1107 (AD 1695) PS. The image size was still working out more than 100kb hence the second post!
  5. Sorry guys for the delay in posting the 1695 coin. I was trying to figure out a way to reduce the size of the picture using photoshop! Whew! got it finally. I am posting two coins here. As per the conversion calender between AH (hizri calender) and the AD (Anno Domini or roman calender), the year 1695 is shared halfway between AH 1106 and AH 1107. So I got out my mughal coins and found specimens for both. The first coin is - Silver Rupee Aurangzeb Alamgir KM#300.36 Badr e munir Wt 11.4 gms Islamabad Mint dated AH 1106 (AD 1695) The dates on both coins are given in Arabic.
  6. Does the date have to be in English? I have some Mughal dated coins; do they qualify?
