  1. The symbol is a communist one so my lucky guess is that the coin was punched with it in early 1945 when Soviet Army entered Hungary to chase Germans and their fascist allies out of it. However I don't see that Krause catalogue is listing this, so you would like to come across a Hungarian numismatist to answer your question.
  2. They may be 200 years old if so, whilst ancient coins are probably around 2,000 years old.
  3. Hi everyone, I see that many people join and immediately ask questions about coins they can't identify, so I'll feel free to do the same. I have 7 coins that are or look like Bengal Presidency Pice coins that I would appreciate your help with please. I divided them into 3 sets that I photographed separately. In the first set are two coins that are countermarked. Weight and diameters from left to right are (4.7g, 19mm) and (5.5g, 20mm) In the second set are 2 coins with weight and diameters from left to right (6.1g, 22mm) and (5.3g, 23mm) The coin on the right is lacquered and countermarked X. Please notice the difference in lettering. In the third set are 3 coins with almost identical details. Weight and diameters from left to right are (5.0g, 19mm), (6.1g, 23mm) and (6.1g, 25mm) Could you please help me to identify these coins, tokens or whatever they are. Your help is much appreciated.
