  1. Hey everyone, I picked these up the same time I got my Kettle medal, I was wondering if there was anything good in here, as you can tell tokens are not my expertise. Basically I just grabbed what looked old from the lot, I did score a civil war token which I knew what that was. Thanks for any help you can offer.
  2. I agree a $100 safe isn't going to stop most thieves, it may stall them if bolted to the floor but that's about it. Simple hiding spots can work better for you, if you have a closet or pantry make a false wall. You can remove a baseboard and make a storage space behind it. Under your sink you can removed the bottom of your cabinet floor, simply hide your stuff, replace the wood and throw some cleaning bottles and a plunger on top. The options are endless.
  3. I believe I have a 1877 Indian head cent however the last digit is nearly impossible to make out, I can see the 187 but the last digit is worn pretty good. However if I look under the right light and direction I believe I see the very faint outline of a 7, I tried everything to verify it but it is so hard and I have great eyes. I was wondering if there is any way to raise the date on a copper coin or any little tips which I can verify what this is. I'm not worried about damaging the coin as it is pretty much toast already, if graded it would probably just come back authentic.
  4. I'm hoping so, being so rare there is really nothing to go by to price it, the only thing I have to go on is what is listed here. Thanks for the welcome.
  5. Hello everyone, this is my 1st post here and I know it is reviving an old thread but I have recently acquired one of these medals. Does anyone here happen to know anything else on these, as already said above there is hardly any information on this coin, if there is only 5-10 known to exist I have only found 3 examples, one here, one in a museum, and the one I have just received. I been going nuts trying to find any more information on this or any other Kettle medals that were made, any help would be appreciated. Here is mine, its been beaten pretty bad but is definitely the 1st medal posted up above.
