Ok the cleaning does nto worry me a lot. It is not so bad and I cannot see lines or scratches... the problem is ... the tolerance ! 0.015 grams ... are too much or not ?

It looks cleaned for a start but I cannot comment on the authencity. It looks good but again, I am not well versed in this type of coinage.

I have read a thread here regarding 10 roubles gold, in which a member of the forum was explaining that each he gold coins were weighted that time .. and the maximum tolerance could be 0.01 grams ...

there was a mistake ... the tolerance was 1/10 of gram.... I guess all should be ok ..... ))

I need your help. I would have the possibility to buy the following roubles, it looks very nice but the price is too low in my opinion..

I have asked the guy who is selling to provide me with a picture of the weighted rouble ... he did it !

at the end, this rouble would weight 6,53 grams ...while in some on line catalogue I have seen that the real weight should be 6.544 grams ...

can you help me ?? do you know which is the tolerance for that roubles ? if it is original ... how much it would worth?

In general 'circulated' condition your best bet would be something like eBay but approaching a dealer could prove fruitful, too.

Do you believe a dealer would not charge of his/her profit the coin?

maybe it would be better to approach some auctioneer .. or to try with the good, old but efficient ebay

Nice coin but common one, it is a rouble 1924 (один рубль) = one rouble

I know the coins are not very good conditions. But I'm should be greatful if someone know age, state (Venice) and other interesting information about this coins. I have two more in one more topic.

I was in Bucharest,Romania, there was "colectors market"and i went.The seller was from Bulgaria,he asked for it 60 euros. I paid and i did some research on line (the only catalog that i got wasn t with me)i realized is one of the rarest coin of that kind.Than i knew is to good.I went back after gxseries respond to me.The guy give my money back and thats it. He was having a lot of others coins ex:5 kop. 1802,1812 commemorative ruble...all i ll gues fake.

Of course mihai, the price is the first indicator of a fake. I have seen so many roubles original reaching incredible prices that I would rather avoid purchases like that you did.

Anyway, for that money is better to invest in some good Kopeck of Ekaterina from 1700's at least you can find pieces in very good conditions and when you plan to resell you find the buyer

there are a lot of fakes around, especially of poltine and roubles ancient ... on the other hand ... sorry, but to produce such a scrap of counterfeited coin .... is it worth?

however, we cannot compare of course but I prefer doubtless coins from Nicholas II rather than those from Alexander ... a matter of taste

 

The mintage seems low, but for a small country like Denmark it was actually a large mintage. Couple that with the fact that outside of Denmark they are not collected much - makes for a very attractive but affordable design.

Maybe outside Denmark are not collected much, but for a collector of northern EU countries coins , in my opinion, it is worth have it .

I have recently bought a 5 roubles coin 1900 and 1901 , the mintage is quite high and are not rare at al but we are talking of gold and in any case I find them charming due to the presence of Nicholas II portrait

Who is sharing with me the interest in such a coins? I find today more interest in 1 rouble coins from collector, however I believe they are a good investment for future, and in view of gold price uptrend. do not you think so ?

It would get a details grade if it were graded by a TPG - as noted it is harshly cleaned. It is one of those coins I am looking for myself - but alas I haven't found a blast white example in BU yet.

I believe BU is really difficult to find, especially from 1903 and at a reasonable price.

It is a very nice example of the type. However, it has been heavily cleaned, and so I would be forced to call it aUNC or UNC-.

Recently I bought very nice Leopold I 5 Francs 1851.

His Wiki portrait looked like one of portraits of Russian Heroes of Napoleonic wars.

 

His Wiki biography is very interesting.

In 1795, as a mere child, Leopold was appointed colonel of the Izmaylovsky Guards Regiment in Russia. Seven years later, he became a major general. When Napoleonic troops occupied the Duchy of Saxe-Coburg in 1806 Leopold went to Paris. Emperor Napoléon I offered him the position of adjutant, but he refused. Instead, he took up a military career in the Imperial Russian Cavalry. He campaigned against Napoléon and distinguished himself at the Battle of Kulm at the head of his cuirassier division. He received Golden sword for his bravery at Leipzig. In 1815, at the age of 25, Leopold reached the rank of lieutenant general in the Imperial Russian Army.

He became King Leopold I of Belgium in 1831.

My goal is to get them by type, 5 coins and all in mint state. 15k 1923, 50k 1922 and 1R 1921 are now in NGC.

I have a strange 10k 1923, below the patina it looks like proof. Altought i dont have any experience with old proof coins with patina, i recognize only new ones that are like mirrors.

It surely looks different than any other coin that i have but i dont know.......

Actelios - I bought it about last year (I think) when I realize prices of the 1922 ruble kept on going up and up. That was more than what I wanted for - probably more than 200 dollars back then but when I checked the prices recently, it's edging closer to 250 - 400 dollars
