  1. Have searched lots of coins, but the best find was in 2 rolls of halves - a 1968-D 40%. Otherwise not very exciting finds.
  2. Russian 10 kopeks 2007 in change at the grocery store this morning. The colour of a cent but the size of a dime.
  3. Canadian 25c yesterday, today a Netherlands 2 Euro cent dated 2003.
  4. Not sure if I have an 1897, but here is 1896 from Uruguay: A stunning example of a lovely Giesecke and Devrient print with tight multiple printing passes that result in a multi-colour wonder.
  5. Like those Government of India notes. They cannot be very common. 20 rupees was even more than a gold Mohur, I believe a mohur was 15 rupees?
  6. I particularly like the Cherokee medal, one because it has the ubiquitous star representing the seven bands, and the Cherokee alphabet.
  7. I'd like to get one of the 3" medals myself, but prefer to keep it in the original packaging.
  8. My favourite German note - no doubt because of the Wagnerian dragon on the reverse. I have heard from a collector in Germany that said these were not really released into circulation until late in WWI early 1920s and were used to pay salaries of government employees during the time.
  9. Expect to be set back about $1000-1200 for design, die making etc. Then there is material cost, labour etc. I am basing this on what some private minters do for setting up coin club medallions, etc.
  10. Curiously looking in wikipedia the wedding was reported to have happened during the mourning period for Prince Albert, thus there was no public church ceremony and Queen Victoria described the event as more a funeral than a wedding. And they were a remarkably unhappy couple in marriage. She passed away in 1878 after an illness.
  11. There is a 1794 large cent restrike that was done by Coins and Stamps Inc of Detroit that I picked up at a coin show and use as a pocket piece occasionally. Your piece says 1970 on it, apparently from looking in google.com the store is still open there.
  12. I see lots of pre-1999 quarters and state quarters. Not so many park quarters.
  13. That is cool. In English the note is from Montenegro, I haven't seen too much paper money from pre WWI from there.
  14. $1.75 in Canadian 25c coins, nothing I want to save though.
  15. Here is 1942, from Northern Ireland:
