  1. Hello All, I have recently come into possession of a large medal (appears to be bronze) issued by the Panama Canal Authority. It is 75mm (3 inches) in diameter. It is all in Spanish but basically it says it is for exceptional public service. On the front bottom right there is a name. (J. Calabro') It does not have any name or number engraved on the back, so I assume this one to be not issued. Any information about this medal would be greatly appreciated. Year, number issued, etc.. This is the only one I have seen and I'm having trouble finding any information about it. Thanks.
  2. Frank, Thank you very much for the information... I had never heard of a jeton before. Now I have a new subject to read up on. I found this coin on the carribean side of Panama... How it got from France to Panama one can only speculate. Maybe buccaneers? Anyway, Thanks again!
  3. Hello to everyone. Can anyone help me to ID this old french coin? It appears to be copper approx 28mm in diameter. On one side it reads: CHARLES CARDINAL DE BOVRBON, it has a shield with 3 fleur de lis inside. On the other side it reads: FOLIVM EIVS NON DEFLVET, it has a picture of a tree. There is no date that I can see. Any information about this coin will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
