Hi all,
I am a newbie, as my lack of knowledge will soon give away.
My uncle sadly died a couple of years ago leaving his coin collection to me. It's been sitting in a safe since and I have just decided to have a look to see what he had. Some of them I knew and were easy to work out. I now have a pretty big box of £2 and £5 coins which I am trying to work out.
I am going to start with the £2 coins. I know that he had some uncirculated and some silver proofs however I can't see a massive difference between them. I had hoped that they would be a different weight but apparently not. Does anyone have a surefire way of working out which is which?
Sorry for such a dumb question but I'm a bit stuck.
Many Thanks in advance.
Simon
