  1. Do you think that would be considered to be in Fair or About Good condition?
  2. Wasn't found in circulation but rather in a friends Father's stash of coins. He brought them to work just to let me see what he had. It was in a little pile of junk ones that he wasn't even going to show me. He just figured it was worthless because it wasn't silver. Neither him nor his dad had any idea the significance of it. It's a shame it is so beat up. But it is the only one I have ever seen. Couldn't believe my eyes. It was only a collection of 30 or so coins. Just hanging with a bunch of run of the mill others,
  3. I also need the Northern Mariana from Denver, but my other missing one is the Washington DC from Phily. I only need one National Park from 2010, but still half from 2011 and have found only 2 from 2012 and one from 2013! Incidentally, I am replying to the post by ikaros, I keep hitting the quote button below the post, but it does not show up in my post. Anyone know why this is?
  4. It was fairly easy collecting all the State Quarters compared to the National Parks series or even the US Territories. It's now been nearly 5 years since the last of the Territory Quarters were released and I still have yet to come across a couple of them.
  5. I guy I work with went to the local Subway for lunch the other day. Received 4 pennies with his change. 3 of the 4 were wheaties! 1952 D, 1955 D, and 1956 D. I told him some little kid probably robbed from his dad's stash to by a soda or something. Chances of getting 1 wheatie in change is shrinking by day. To get 3 in one shot is amazing. I would have loved to look through that cash register that day.
  6. Yeah, first one. I have been looking at every coin that passes through my hands (and some family members hands) since I was a young boy, I'm now 44. This was my first "no doubt about it" off-center coin.
  7. I was able to scan the dime at work. I would love to know how this made it through 30 some years of circulation before it got to me. Hope this picture is good enough to check it out.
  8. I have been trying to get a good picture of the dime but I guess I don't know what I'm doing. They all turn out terrible. Every close-up has to much glare, every distant shot gets blurry when I zoom in. I'm going to see if I can find someone with a scanner.
  9. A woman at work was having trouble getting a dime to go into the vending machine. It was mis-struck about an 1/8 inch off! The lower left of the coin looks like a smooth cresent moon. I traded her for a "good" dime! It is a 1977 Philadelphia mint in otherwise excellent condition.
