  1. I am sure everyone has heard of Littleton Coin, and have purchased the occasional coin that they offer in the sunday ads (atleast I have). Well yesterday my wife was going through the ads and put one to the side from Mystic Stamp and Coin Company, where they are offering a 70th anniversary pearl harbor coin. Littleton in my mind is pretty reputable and I have never had any issues, although when not buying from one of their deals the mark up will be very high.

    Is Mystic Company reputable?

    Has anyone used them?

Also they are claiming the coin is free if you send in $2.95. I did a simple google search and can only find like 3 reviews. 1 bad, 1 good, and 1 was so-so.

    There website is this: www.mysticstamp.com

  2. Welcome to the art of collecting coins. Error coins are fun to search for, however I do not think these are errors. I believe them to be normal wear and tear, others might think differently. But on the Quarter there might be some doubling on the mint mark, but I would believe any extra value it would add would be lost due to the chip near the 'OF'. Wait for more people to chime in, and I would reccomend showing the quarter to a coin dealer.

  3. Got a 2009 P DC quarter real nice condition with doubling around the piano leg and the "ke" in duke. (anyone seen that before) Going to try and get a good pic of it when I head over to a friends who has a better camera. Also from the same cashier I got a 1974 Canadian cent

  4. My opinion is that the United States government should obey the Constitution. Federal Reserve notes are not legal tender in any of the States. Only silver or gold can be legal tender. Stop making unconstitutional money, return to a sound non-inflationary money, and stop making the lower denomination coins obsolete!

    YES GENIUS!!! :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

  5. So I want to give this a shot. Question though.... I bank at a credit union, I am wondering what the best practice is:

    1. Purchase a box of nickels/dimes at a branch, after searching deposit at same branch

    2. Purhcase a box of nickels/dimes at a branch, after searching return to different branch

    3. Purhcase a box of nickels/dimes at a branch, after searching return to a seperate bank/credit union

  6. Chad,

Jeffersons are a lot of fun. Great coins are pretty much available. Have fun with this set and keep us updated on your progress.

I will keep everyone updated. I am in the process of buying a good camera so I can also put up some much needed pictures that I keep promising the forum.
