  1. Mailman brought me a 1985-S PR69 Deep Cam quarter! Very nice coin and from my birth year
  2. Happy Birthday Eric. Two days of celebrating in a row, lucky you! Be very careful with those fireworks everyone
  3. I stick to the 19th century on up. Maybe I will get into much older coins some day when I find some that interest me.
  4. And collectable! I really want one of those coins. I may have to start saving now to afford one.
  5. Burks

    Album toning

Very interesting. I've never seen that happen.
  6. The coin below is like what I am trying to get my hands on, only in better condition.
  7. Nice collection you have going there. I too am working on obtaining two Seateds that aren't in poor condition. I was very tempted to buy one at a trade show but the reverse was just horrible. Looked like someone took a knife to it.
  8. Does anyone know a site that has pictures of numerous Egyptian coins? I am looking for the more modern ones like 1700-Present. I've seen some really interesting ones on Ebay and they have sparked my interest. Does anyone here collect these kind of coins? If so, post your collection!
  9. You must be lucky. The past two weeks I've sorted through nearly $20k in cash and not one star note other than the one I found.
  10. Where is a good place to get some 2x2's? I ran out of the stash my Grandpa had and need to get some more.
  11. The Civil War Token. Why? It just brings up SOOO much history with that saying.
  12. Just bought the '04 Redbook for $0.01 off Ebay Yeah I know it is a year old but for the price I couldn't pass it up.
  13. I'm curious as to how much the coins are toned and the colors. Would you happen to have any pictures?
  14. Just a semi-good $10 star note from work. First one I've seen in circulation in nearly 6 years.
  15. The Franklin and Morgan are just insanely beautiful coins. Way out of my price range but a person can dream right?
  16. Generalist for sure. If the coin is pleasing to MY eye, I will buy it. Really doesn't matter condition, style, price, etc to me. Currently I am attempting to pick up some really nice Mercury Dimes.
  17. I really like that 1833 you have there. I must agree that those are some of the best designed coins.
  18. Not a coin but I'm sure you will enjoy it. At work I was counting the money and noticed an odd bill. Sure enough, $10 star note! I know it isn't worth much but it has been 6 years since I ran across a star note in circulation. Needless to say I replaced it with a normal $10 bill and it is now mine (boss didn't care).
  19. To me the point in proof coins is to admire the beauty of the coin as it was meant to be. Others see it as an investment. Kind of like taking the Mona Lisa and having it pass through thousands of people's hands, it won't have the same detail or beauty it had right after it was painted.
