  1. I went to PCGS website in their registry gloating section and looked through all the walkers until I found the one that might allow that wear pattern. As far as the overlay, it is a 50 percent reduced cutout pasted over top of the 1921 coin I found at the PCGS site.
  2. Does anyone know if Ira lurks here? He would know what this piece will probably realize.
  3. http://www.alexa.com/data/details/traffic_....coinpeople.com Very nice numbers, Stu! Traffic rank is 569,091. And out of the million and millions of sites on the internet to be just under to top 500,000 is pretty good indeed.
  4. I don't think Stu has seen the little 'watermark' yet... they may still change ;)
  5. I just noticed something... so far 3 out of the 4 are Shrek characters. You and akdrv will not be, but that still makes the ration 1/2. Have to write a letter and ask permission But if they only circulate amongst ourselves there shouuld not be a problem, only if they start showing up on ebay and selling will the powers that own them ask for a cut. And thanks for the props. I should'a been working, but things are slow this week.
  6. This is a 620k file so dialup will take a couple of mins... Here are the first 4 notes roughed out:
  7. I would suggest that is slightly ON center
  8. Here is an edit I have been working on for the final rough draft: The colors will change along with the portrait, the bottom left, center, and right denominations also.
  9. Thank for the props. I still want to tweek it a bit and I will start on the series suggested. BTW: after today I won't be much around till Monday the 27th. I am going on vacation and even though I will be at home some of the time I am only on dialup 56k and a notebook computer, very hard to be creative on a little touchpad mouse Yes, I did model it after a green back. I wanted to remain traditional but update it a bit. I am glad I was able to achieve that goal. I am also going to work on a reverse as well.
  10. I just took posession of one from MCD, it was an excellent specimen and in wonderful condition.
  11. My guess is it is a 1921 Philly. Here is my evidence: I took the image from a 1921 walker and superimposed it onto the close up pic of your unknown. The protected area that is left fits very well into the space inbetween the bottom of the '2' and the '1' in 1921. Since there is no indication of mint mark on the reverse it is probably a Philly mint.
  12. I have gotten my first piece of currency with guns depicted on it (Thanks MisterMcDoo!) And I want to get this one if possible: But here is the larger question; are there others who collect notes based on this theme? And is there a overall list of the types of themes that appear on world notes? So far I have found neither on the web. Or is theme collecting not that popular in the banknote arena?
  13. Actually, you don't have the one I am desiring at the moment, a 10 Peso note from Cuba, 1997. I just LOVE the AK47s depicted on the back of the note. If I can take a raincheck until something like this comes along. There are also some notes from the Czech Republic and Vietnam, and others, but the Cuba and the Czech are the cheapest. If a raincheck is not pratical I will make another choice, but guns on money is my favorite
  14. Sorry about the crapo pics. This is just a test poll.
  15. My first guess would be die chatter unless this year and mm is known for it's varieties.
