I don't have the right documentation to check it, but I think this might be a Salzburg coin

The first coin is a 1/2 dhofari rial 1367 (about 1948). In Krause this coin is listed as KM#29. KM says it is struck for the dhofar region. It should weigh 14.0300 gram and contains 0.5000 silver 0.2256 oz ASW. Ruler Sa'id bin Taimur. There were 200,000 coins minted, prices F: 12,00, VF 14,00, XF 18,00 and UNC 28,00 The second coin is a Saidi Rial 1378 (about (1958/59). There are two varieties of this coin KM#31 28.0700 gr, .8330 silver .7518 oz ASW. Ruler Sa'id bin Taimur. Mintage: 1,000,000. in VF 12,50, XF 16,00 and in UNC 20,00 and KM#31a 28.0700 gr, .5000 silver .4512 oz ASW. mintag

I collect all kind of coins and not specifically crown coins. The crown coins I find the most interesting are the silver crownsized coins like: 5 pesetas Spain late 19th century Belgian and French 5 francs 19th century Dutch 2 1/2 gulden 19th century untill the 1940's British Crowns and then especially the 19th century St. George slaying the dragon types German talers or German Empire 3 and 5 mark coins US silver dollars (Morgan, Peace) Italian 5 lire Vittorio Emanuele II Turkish 5 and 6 piastres 19th century and so on, and so on.

Does anyone have more information on British and Irish bronze coins that seem to have been in some kind of nickel bath? I have several 1 penny and 2 pence coins that are treated this way. best regards, Peter Paul
