Some German coins in my mailbox last week, always great to deal with Jeff; Thanks
-
I like a lot of the old Canadian bank tokans, and own a few. I wonder if any are rare or valuable? At any rate they are very attractive.
There are a few that are extremely rare, also ones that are common. They range from $5.00 or so Canadian into the thousands and thousands of $

I broke the set.
If you do that with the holograms I sent today, I will cry like a little schoolgirl

Got a nice bunch of German coins to add to my pile today; Great packaging, perfect deal. Thanks Jeff A+++++

I agree with you Kev; They have to keep the distribution centres happy; As far as I know, Napanee had 3 of the coins, I know one guy who bought 2 of them
-
That's specifically the reason why I never buy new from the mint; I always let other people buy them new, then buy them off them a few years down the road at a healthy discount; Otherwise I'd be in the business of losing money
-
I'm betting that besides the distribution centres, none of the outlets got any.
There were approximately 1000 released to Canada Post, we even had a few in Napanee, but I never anticipated this would be "one of those" coins. The other 4000 were probably between the GP and dealers, with the brunt of them being sold to dealers. At first, you had to order $400 worth of material from the mint to be allowed to buy one, then they bumped it to $600.00. The old "bait and hook" Frankly, I find this disgusting.

If you count all them, I think the mint issued around 10 zillion coins this year ;Still waiting to hear back on the Canadian colorized dollar, I'm having a province wide post office search done as we speak. My Dad's North (way North) of here, told him to snag me 2 if he can get 'em.

Received 2 books and a few extra items from Art today; Quick delivery, great packaging. An all 'round pleasant experience again. Thanks Art

Need it, want it. gotta have it. PM sent

Don't worry about Unicorn's request; No sense in having 2 roman books here, didn't see she had asked you for 1.

The search will be on my friend

Mine arrived a few weeks back, thanks everyone so much and thanks Art for undertaking this; Still trying to figure out how to display it so both sides are visible.

And rent a sled dog

Tammy's right (yes dear, you're right again ). I'll be picking the coin up soon, issue price $69.95 ish plus 15% tax; I normally don't bother with mint material, but this coin is just plain georgeous, especially when you look at the hologram under the 10x loupe. A lot more beautiful than pictured.

Interesting pieces TB. Sorta like Stampede dollars?
Same idea, Stampede dollars are also commemorative trade dollars; I have them from time to time. I also have a book on Canadian trade dollars; They range in price from $2.50 Canadian into the 100's of dollars range.
