  1. One more German piece from Bavaria - 1626 taler. This is my last one for while.
  2. 1628 - 1/2 taler commemorating the consecration of the new Salzburg cathedral
  3. Ian - Thats a neat design on that 1631 silver jeton. Here is a 1630 Saxony taler to keep it inching forward.
  4. Great to see this thread moving again. 1632 - Austrian Taler
  5. Bump for the holiday season! Did the thread finally run out of steam?
  6. Some beautiful pieces out there! 1654 must be a popular year.
  7. Whoops......sloppy link in my post. Updated with the correct 1658 link and 1654 will go back into the dugout. For some reason by roadrunner hosting account has now decided to be unresponsive, so image is not yet appearing. I am just a mess today.
  8. Another 1658 - a german states saxony taler.
  9. Sorry all.......I had to kill the hosting contract I had with godaddy, and now all my images went poof. I am seeing what I can do now for image hosting (and to fix all my broken links on the forum).
  10. Here is a 1672 Salzburg taler. That will do it for me for about a decade.
  11. I was hoping to throw this one into the mix. 1675 Papal States scudo / piastra. Onward to 1673 now?
  12. Lets continue this march backwards with a german state taler from cologne (koln) dated 1688. This is a 1 year type issued to commemorate the empty seat (sede vacante) after the death of Maximilian Heinrich of Bavaria who was the Archbishop of Cologne from 1650 to 1688. This is one of the favorite coins in my collection.
  13. 1698 - German taler from Osnabruck - 1 year issue. Interestingly, the date on this taler is a chronogram, which is the date spelled in roman numerals within the legend around the reverse of the coin. I am getting close to the end of my contributions for awhile.
  14. No poltinas, but I do have one more Hall taler from Austria dated 1699: This thread is accelerating quickly today....
  15. The russian coins have been stunning everybody. Here is another 1701 - a taler from the Hall mint in Austria.
  16. grivna1716 - that is another amazing coin. Tough to find anything like that in todays market I imagine. Here is my last contribution for a few years to come. Its a 1715 sede vacante taler from the german city state of Osnabruck. Its a 1 year issue struck to commemorate the death of the bishop. I really fell in love with these sede vacante pieces.
  17. That is a tough issue to find these days gxseries. This is one of the favorites in my collection. It is a 1 year sede vacante issue taler from the german state of Paderborn. It was issued to commemorate the death of the bishop in 1719.
  18. Nice piece hiho! Now this thread is really picking up speed. 1722 - Swiss taler from Zurich
  19. Here is a german sede vacante medal from Hildesheim dated MDCCXXIV (1724). I love the roman numeral only issues.
  20. No 1725 here, but I have some others lined up: 1715, 1719, 1722, 1724
  21. I like that rouble gxseries! Here is a 1729 taler:
  22. Neat thread! Its been awhile since I last logged in. I dont have a 1732, but perhaps I can give a hiccup at 1733 to keep the thread alive. I have a 1731 and 1729 ready to go.
