Sorry all.......I had to kill the hosting contract I had with godaddy, and now all my images went poof. I am seeing what I can do now for image hosting (and to fix all my broken links on the forum).

Here is a 1672 Salzburg taler. That will do it for me for about a decade.

I was hoping to throw this one into the mix. 1675 Papal States scudo / piastra. Onward to 1673 now?

Lets continue this march backwards with a german state taler from cologne (koln) dated 1688. This is a 1 year type issued to commemorate the empty seat (sede vacante) after the death of Maximilian Heinrich of Bavaria who was the Archbishop of Cologne from 1650 to 1688. This is one of the favorite coins in my collection.

1698 - German taler from Osnabruck - 1 year issue. Interestingly, the date on this taler is a chronogram, which is the date spelled in roman numerals within the legend around the reverse of the coin. I am getting close to the end of my contributions for awhile.
