  1. Found a 1968-S cent, in uncirculated (red, original, untoned), condition.
  2. Thanks. You're very kind. As you may be able to tell, that is a tiny coin. Similar in size to a US silver 3 cent Trime. I'd love to see your Dominican Republic coins. Don't suppose you have them posted anywhere, do you?
  3. I also would like to share a couple of coins that were sent to me by another CoinPeople member. This member sent me a PM stating that he had a couple of extras that he wanted to give me at his expense and with no strings attached. This is just my humble opinion, but doesn't that convey the very best that our hobby has to offer? I can't thank this fellow hobbiest enough, and I want him to know that one good turn deserves another. (Pictures are not exact, but represent the correct type.) KM#23a.1 Switzerland 1969 1/2 Franc KM#24a.1 Switzerland 1968 1 Franc
  4. KM#845.1 France 1918 2 Francs Silver Abt. EF
  5. Received 8/4/05 1935 Peru silver 1/2 Sol condition=AU KM#216
  6. Thank you, sir. It is KM#183 Composition is cupro-nickel.
  7. I received an Oregon statehood quarter. Of course, the "mailman" only delivered it because he was being paid to perform his duties. The reason I got it was that there are other people in this hobby who know what it means to be a "coin collector".
  8. I can only relate to you what my proof Franklin Halves look like. Not all of them could be described as "Full Bell Lines".

    How long?

I started my own collection in 1966. Some nice folks were kind enough to give a kid a few interesting coins. The seed they planted took root, and now, nearly 40 years later, I enjoy the hobby as much, or more, than ever. The internet has allowed me to communicate with other collectors. Prior to our getting a computer, I had never talked to another serious coin collector. It's definately one of my favorite aspects of the hobby.
  10. Great to see CoinPeople back! Good luck, and continue the good work. Jody
