YeOldeCollector
Found a 20p in my change with a full 2nd 0 in 2004. Is it the overflow of molten metal from the dies? Kindest Regards, Clive.
thedeadpoint
Interesting. Well, if the 0 was filled flush with the rest of the number, then I'd suspect flow. But how did the material become raised overtop the 0?
YeOldeCollector
Beats me! I just though that it was a neat error!

syzygy
Anybody know what type this is? - Clive. That looks very much like a clogged die. Some grease or other material got into the die and that is the result. It is not terribly uncommon, but a nice coin to keep. Here is one that I retired from circulation a long time ago.
