Ray
right dramatic errors. Did you find them, and he wrote about them, or did you buy these from him?
jlueke
So are they die cracks that cause the raised metal when struck or something else? How did they get past the QC, especially seeing that they are proofs?

errorist
Nice die cracks! Congrats on the award. Not my award but they are my coins! I think the author did a fabulous write up about them. I found all of them on ebay. It has taken five years to collect what I have so far. 17 Proof die cracks and counting. Here is my most recent one. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...AMEWN%3AIT&rd=
Guest Stujoe
So are they die cracks that cause the raised metal when struck or something else? How did they get past the QC, especially seeing that they are proofs? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I suspect that the mint doesn't look that hard at them, I guess. Or maybe, like the supposed story for the WI Leaf Quarters, a worker was out to lunch. They are pretty cool die cracks, though, and on proofs I imagine they are mighty scarce.
