ANNOUNCING

------ CoinPeople Short Snorter 2010 ------

Post your name here if you want to participate. Pick out a great note and be ready to mail it to me quickly. I'm planning to mail the package of notes to the second signer on September 1,2010. (I know that sounds a long way off but, trust me, in things like this there will still be people who miss the deadline.) All signups done by August 10,2010 and notes for the SS2010 must be in my hands by August 25,2010.

-You supply a note to be signed and returned to you.
-Your forum name and SS2010 must appear on your note and any protective sleeve you use.
-Only low value notes allowed. Things do get lost.
-Each participant agrees to hold the notes for no more than 2 days.
-Each participant agrees to send the notes to the next person on the list via USPS Priority Mail - Insured (or the European, Canadian, whatever, equivalent)
-The parcel is to be insured for $50.00 US
-Participants will post in the tracking thread when they received the notes and when they send them on to the next person
-Notes may be contained in a protective sleeve.
-Notes must be a size that allows note and any protective sleeve to fit in a business letter envelope. (#10)
-Each person is responsible to handle the notes carefully to avoid damage and or loss.
-One note allowed per CoinPeople id.

OK enough rules. Let's go. Signup here. I'll PM mailing instructions to those who may need them

it sounds cool ;)

so

1 : i send you a cheap-random note and i sign it (MauMauNotes)

2 : you collect every note that is sent to you (5-10-15), you sign them

3 : you send the group of notes to one person, the first of a list (and that person sends it to the following person of the list), everybody signs each notes

4 : all the notes go back to you ? (not worried, just understanding ;), and you keep it or send each note to the first main owner ? (it doesnt matter!)

i might take part but

1) i'm always a bit scared with mailing stuff (im in a foreign country : Finland, they have a good and safe mail system, but i don't know if i use the right service and or if it happens that i lose everything (black cat story!)

2) i'm unable to receive or send between 18 and 29 August 2010 (not in the city where i live, and getting married) :ninja:

None of these things are a problem. You'll have ample opportunity to send a note before your blackout period. The package of notes won't get to you for signatures until sometime later in the year. These things are always subject to lots of delays. It's fun and you get a great keepsake

MauMauNotes has removed himself because of family matters that are taking all his time right now. Congrats on the marriage and all that's going on. Best of luck to you.

The package of notes arrived in yesterday's mail. I'll get them scanned and returned to their owners as soon as I possibly can. Thanks to all.

Wow! Thanks again for managing all this Art! It seems to be harder and harder to get people to participate, which is too bad because it's really kind'a fun, and builds a little more comraderie among us. Anyway, I'm glad it all worked out and this will go in a place of honor with my other Coin People Short Snorters!

Once again Art - Thanks!
