I let my wife pick this one. She is into coins a little bit but not as much but she does like this variety of all the types. I'm a nice guy. I try to get her involved as much as possible because in the end it means I can buy more coins.

i'd rather flip an old standing lib to a teller. It seems perfect for the size of the coin.

Thinking that everyone would be voting for the older designs, I picked the current state quarter designs.

My thinking was along these lines, that if you don't like the one that your looking at, wait a couple of weeks and there will be a new one.

Can't get much better than that, now can it?

I love the old classics but must go with Wrangler Old Dan on this one! And, there are BUFFALO on two of those statehood quarters and a whole bunch of other history and every 10 weeks something new is coming at you, at least for another year!

However some of the Statehood Quarters are real nice, especially Rhode Island, Colorado, and Nevada.

My wife has horses, and she loves the Nevada design. Too bad it has a dead president on the front! Just imagine the Standing (or Seated even) Liberty on the obverse, and that beautiful reverse. When are we going to get these presidents off the coins? Doesn't that seem too much like putting Kings on the coins?

Believe it or not, I have to go with the Washington Bicentennial design. The strike was still fairly deeply sculpted back then so you had great depth of design, and the Jack Ahr's colonial drummer is a terrific design.
