The flags and the cameos are incused, as if they had been counterstamped. It's like seeing a modern day George III counterstamped pillar dollar (head of a fool on the neck of an ass type) . bill Posted April 4, 2006 Report Share Posted April 4, 2006 I'm struck by the quality of the bust of QE on the obverse. Too often, her portraits seem flat and unattractive (imho). I could say that it is because it is one of my better executed scans of a nicely struck coin, but honesty winning out I think that it is due to the matt finish on the coin.
