This auction is for a 1964 Kennedy Half Dollar. This coin is 90% silver. The coin has toning around the rim of the obverse and slight toning across the back. There are Greens, goldish Yellow, Pinks and Blues in the toning. From reading about toning I would say this toning is natural.

Pictures Below. Please feel free to ask any questions about the coin.

Bidding starts at face 50 cents.

Winner will pay shipping fee of 60 cents.

$3/4

I guess that's 75 cents....Never mind......

80 cents. (So what's the silver value alone on this puppy. $3.00? )

Somewhere near $4 I believe. My Redbook cuts off at $9 an ounce (too lazy to check current silver prices).

$0.82

...So what's the silver value alone on this puppy. $3.00?..

This 64 Ken Half is 12.5g and 90% silver.

That is 11.25g of silver or ~0.362 Troy ounces.

1 Troy ounce ~ 31.1g

1 Troy ounce silver = $9.86 (current spot)

1 gram silver ~ $0.34

11.25g of silver is ~ $3.82

Our curent high bid is $1, more then $2 below melt on this. Thank you everyone for your bids so far.

[edit ounce/Troy ounce confusion corrected]

$2 13/16

OK, I'm game -- must reduce fractions...

$2 14/16 = $2 7/8 = $2.875

I'm in....... :ninja:
