Standing Liberty. Why aren't current US coins so beautiful?  :ninja:

 

 

The renaissance of American coins ended in the 1940's with the loss of the WL Half Dollar to b-ugly Ben Franklin. Lots can be said for Teddy Roosevelt, but he sure initiated some of the loveliest coin designs the USA will ever have.

 

Think SL Quarters, Mercury Dimes, WL Halves, Buffalo Nickels, Peace Dollar.
