Circus
Interesting item found in a bulk bag of assorted tokens. It appears that there is a shell over the reverse. And it conforms very well. The obverse most of the rim is very tight to edge. Haven't worked at really seeing about the edge.It isn't a magic trick, that I have seen or heard about. I can't come up with a reason for a zinc shell on a 1963 penny. Any members have any clue?
thedeadpoint
Could someone have plated it?
Circus
Could someone have plated it? It looks more like a shell and Lincoln is missing from the reverse!
Art1.2
Looking at the rim, I'm thinking this is a marriage of two halves. One from a zinc cent with the copper removed. Notice the harsh chemical effects on the obverse
