Thank you!

Recommended Posts

I missed the day itself but I just passed ten years (TEN YEARS?!) of being on Coinpeople.com. I discovered it in an article in Coinage (do they still print that?) or Coin World about 10 websites helpful for coin collectors. Heritage Auctions is the only other one I can remember, but this one stuck. I believe I was at the beach for vacation in South Carolina when I first started posting here.

Check out my first post! http://www.coinpeople.com/index.php/topic/10452-good-evening-new-member/

Notice the very, VERY friendly responses I received right away. You may recognize many of those names.

This community was (and is) so welcoming. It is the only forum I ever belonged to for more than a handful of posts. I have learned so so so much from so many of you here. I've drooled on many keyboards looking at your gorgeous coins and notes. I've had many laughs in the Asylum, too.

Thank you for being a (near) daily part of my life for ten years. You got me through half of college, the global financial crisis, grad school, my first job, a few relationships, my boyhood dog passing, and many other events in my life. Even though I've only met one or two of you in person very briefly, I count many of you as friends.

Thank you and I look forward to another ten years (TEN YEARS?!)!

Congrats George. I'm certainly proud to count you among my friends and one of the nicest people I've met in this terrific online world of ours.

Well, GX, you've been around since the beginning of *this* iteration of CP.com. I know Art was a member of the previous iteration(s). Maybe he can remind us how far back this forum really goes.

And we're glad to have you!

(checks -- good grief, I've missed my 10th anniversary, too!)

Here's to inattention! :D

And thank you for being with us! :-)

The Roman emperors in the 4th century actually had coins for things like this:WZd9kJ537iQrEz8GT2bgja4PsCP6Zy.jpg

(Rough translation would be 10 years served because of vows, and here's looking ahead to 20)

Actually before the first coin people we had another forum. Jason was the guy before Stujoe took over. Don't remember the name or dates.

Memory works that way now. Someday I 'll be doing something totally unrelated and power there it will be.
