DAJ
There was a article several years ago that included discussion of counterfeits. Somewhat scholarly. I found it after finding mine were not authentic. That is in other posts. Good luck.
DAJ
The article is "The Minting of Platinum Roubles" by Christoph J. Raub. You will find that with Google. I cannot seem to post the link.

I cannot seem to post the link. I found the study. Probably will never find that if my coins were genuine or fake. And thats make sence... Btw do u have a pictures of ur flase coin? Did it had the same edge subsription like the my ex coin? Тhe story about the coin is ironical... I am from Bulgariam until 1989y Bulgaria was in the USSR area of influence, very close relationс, closed geopolitical system, almost closed visible trade and more with that meaning. I acquired the coin maybe in 1990y, was just a kid, about 12y old, i didnt know nothing about the coins, or professional collecting, just then were very popular between the kids, to change everything, coins, cartoons, magazines. So i acquired the coin from another kid vs coins, and later changed it for a lot of magazines. "Easy come, easy go" ...
