My new intresting Peter ducat

Recommended Posts

Yesterday i was very lucky, and i get one intresting coin!

This coin is one Peter dukat from 1711 or 1714 i don't see clearly the year, becouse the condition not so good.

I'm not sure, but it's look like it's overstrike on the old coin like the 1700's 5/10 kopeks. Maybe it was old turkush coins, and overstriked Peter dukat?

Please help me what is that!

Here is the pictures:

Can you please take a photo directly on top, not from an angle?

One of Uzdenikov's catalog mentioned that ducats were overstruck over Dutch coin. Here's a list of them.

You think it's original?

of course not. Just took notice of your choice of words. Hope you did not pay more than the metal content value.

Reminds me an old joke - "My middle name is Lucky... my first name is Un".

What is his last name?

Sounds like my luck as of late, have returned 3 out of the last 10 kopecks I have bought for being fake. I gotta find a better source than ebay :confus:
