Collector2011
I received today my National Emblem Britannia Penny and there seems to be variation in the year of issue. London Mint Office's website and also the certificate which came with the coin have year 1967 in pictures but my coin is 1964. There may be a possibility that the Mint has just taken coin of any year to receive gold layering. Have other owners of the coin different years than advertised? ccg
Most likely they just used whatever was available - keep in mind that private companies that do coin alterations such as the "London Mint" aren't usually going to have the same quality control as with actual coin issuing mints, such as the Royal Mint.
