elverno
1801 Preliminaries of the Peace of Amiens, Great Britain. 24mm BHM 514 Bramsen 162 d'Essling 942 Milan 319 One of the most common medals available. It was followed by one the of the most rare that looks very similar. 1802 Definitive Treaty of Peace Between Great Britain and France, Great Britain. 20mm BHM 537 Bramsen 2171 BHM says this medal is RRRR in rarity. However it is attributed to Kettle not Davies. I've never found a reference for a Davies variant so it's possible that BHM is incorrect. I've found about 5 others where this is so over the years so it's always worth checking things for yourself. As you can see mistaking this for the 1801 version would be quite easy to do. If this is the one referred to by BHM however it is one of the rarest medals struck vs. one of the most common.
constanius
Here is another Amiens variant/unlisted??? which we have to look out for http://collections.rmg.co.uk/collections/objects/38894.html signed Davies on the divider for the exergue. As you say "so it's always worth checking things for yourself" we both still need this one, so happy hunting
