Art Posted February 23, 2010 Report Share Posted February 23, 2010 Toss up between 2 & 4. I like the boat because not too many things commemorating the Civil War era have boats on them. I prefer 4 because I'd rather stay away from the people representations on the coins. They never seem to translate well from the drawing to the 3d coin. So I'm going with 4. I think of a whole city hiding in hillside caves to escape the siege. I don't know the significance of the USS Cairo at all but it's a good deal better than the other three generic designs.
