deani
By 'new' crowns I meant the crowns that appear on the regular EM 2 kopeeks of 1810 and subsequent years, I am assuming that the crowns with the narrow base that usually appear on the 'chicken' or 'bee' type eagles are of a slightly earlier design. Compare the crowns on mine with this: P.S. Adrianov does list your coin and mine as a separate variants i have one of these coins from 1817, is this worth anything? deani
1810 has special so-called chicken eagle and many crown combination and now reverse/observe mixed combo Mine is identical to the 1810 coin in the picture. An old Russian friend who lived here in the UK gave it to me before he sadly passed away, and said it would be worth something if i hold on to it. And i must say that from most of the pictures of these coins i have seen, this one is in excellent condition.
alexbq2
I arranged the purchase of this unique coin. Total known 2 copies. Today it is a R4 Is this for real? Did they really find an 1811 2 kopeeks with an 1810 reverse? Or is somebody playing tricks on us - again!!!

one-kuna
Thank you for showing this coin. It is BTW in Bitkin # 343 - marked R (rare). Price depends on its condition. This coin is very desirable in high grade.
alexbq2
Looks like 1810 has become popular enough to have people recut 1811(?) 2 kopeeks into 1810: http://www.ebay.com/itm/261014504369
one-kuna
these mixed variants reverse/obverse hard to find i got zero for last twelve months
alexbq2
Not quite chicken type, but an interesting previously unlisted variant of the 1810 new type with "И" instead of "Й". Current catalogs list this error for the old "chicken" type 1810, and for the new 1811. The coin is currently soaking in olive oil, in hopes of removing the nasty verdigris spots.
