sandy3075
It is quite infrequent to find a Commonwealth coin that actually spells out Commonwealth. This crown was issued late into the imperial pound system, is the only crown issued by Jamaica and is one of the very few - I am just being on the cautios side, I do not recall any - that spells out Commonwealth in the event it commemorates - VIII British Empire and COmmonwealth games in Kingston, Jamaica. Here is the proof specimen (20,000 mintage) and a regular uncirculated one They are quite inexpensive - even if slightly above Krause's 5-7 dollar range for both types - and I think are a must for anyone who collects Commonwealth coins.
