Guest Aidan Work
Name; Dominion of Canada. Region; British America. Constitutional status at time of issue; British Dominion. Date of Independence; 1st of July 1867 (This is the date that the British North America Act,1867 came into force, which established Canada as the first federation within the British Empire. This date is a public holiday in Canada, originally titled Dominion Day,but now known as Canada Day.). Canada issued postal notes between the reigns of King Edward VII (1901-10),& King George VI (1936-52).Because Canada is a federation,& the provinces themselves are self-governing,the postal notes are listed by the province of issue.
