Ætheling
Sixpences hey? You say culls... how culled can you accept? I had a bagful of about 50 or 60 George VI and Elizabeth II Cupro-Nickel ones although some had a bit or verdigris. The thing is i can't remember exactly where i had put them, but would they be the kind of thig you were looking for? Or did you want the silver ones? Cos i'm clean out of those! nohope587
CU sixpences are what I am looking for, for the veil. I will be dipping and polishing them anyway so a small amount of verdigris will not matter. The sixpences go on the back of the veil and fine silver chain on the front. I am still kicking myself for not taking pictures of the last one I made. It was 12 years ago and my memory is not what it used to be neither are my eyes. I will need about 350 all told. I have 13 months left to complete it. This time I will take pictures. I would love to use silver but it would make it far too expensive to make and I hate the idea of destroying silver coins. ccg
Crowns- Are you looking for silver crown-sized coins, actual crowns, or perhaps any crown-sized c/n or silver coin? Silver 3d- I'll dig some up.
nohope587
Crown sized coins in general silver is just a bonus.

Ætheling
I have the Turks/Caicos silver Churchill commem which is like a Churchill crown on steroids. PM for details if you like. That horrifies me greatly. On the sixpence front i'll try and dig them out for you. I might also still have some Decimal crowns from the UK, 1972, 1977, 1980 and 1981. (Which is a full set of Decimals) I'll let you know when i've found them. I accept 'scrap' junk silver US coins in payment, so for instance that Washington Quarter you were so keen to get shut off, always welcome! I love silver Washington Quarters in any grade. HPJ
Ewwwww how can you love Churchills??!! Theyre a disaster, an ugly image of churchill and a bland reverse. I think it was voted most ugly british coin a while ago on another forum...
nohope587
The Churchill was my first intro to coin collecting. It took me almost a year to find out what it was. During that time I found out more about GB than I ever learnt in school. Also have you any idea how hard it is to find a Chruchill in MS 65 or higher. There are also a few varieties out there. I have over 400 of the little buggers and love every one. If I see one in distress at a show or sale I try to pick it up and give it a good home. Ætheling
Also have you any idea how hard it is to find a Chruchill in MS 65 or higher. Harder still are Churchills below F. I'd love to see one grading Poor, talk about design improvement!
Ætheling
Right i've found those sixpences i have about 65 of them. Well there's about 75, but i'm pulling ten of the George ones out to keep for my own amusement. I do have some silver ones but they are really, really nasty. Infact nasty doesn't come into it, do you want the silver ones free of charge? I don't have anything else on your wish list sadly apart from the crowns but i can't find them anywhere. Unless i sent them to Labmom, but i don't recall doing such.
