TreasureGirl
I keep getting an error message when I hit "UPLOAD" saying that the upload was not permitted. What's up? Thanks, TG
akdrv
Word and Excel files should be ok. How big is the file you are trying to attach? The file size limit is 100K per post.
TreasureGirl
I was trying to attach something in Excel at 17 KB.

akdrv
My mistake. Excel and Word files are not allowed. It's a security setting in the forum software.
TreasureGirl
Ah! Okay. Can I take screenshots of the documents and post that?
Scottishmoney
Yes TG you should be able to do a screenshot, save it as a .jpg etc and attach it. The reason you cannot attach Word or Excel files is they can have code in them to spread viruses.
TreasureGirl
Oh, geez. I'll screenshot them then.
Scottishmoney
With Macros in Excel it is possible to have executable scripts which can contain viruses or links to them. This is why when you open Excel and have Macros in a programme it ask you to confirm if you want to open the Macros portion of the document. Lots of people avoid writing Macros altogether, but they are nice for printing etc.
