Scottishmoney
My last Coinstar find was two Canadian 10¢ coins, previous to that was a Malaysian cent.

thedeadpoint
I'm not sure what my morals say about that. I want to do it but I'm just too honest.

Dockwalliper
It goes in spurts. I'll look 15 times and find nothing but then get goodies the next three checks. I figure about 1 in 10 is the average.

Dockwalliper
Just letting people know it dosen't happen every day. (And boosting my post count.) Saturday morning...Nothin.
Scottishmoney
Just letting people know it dosen't happen every day. (And boosting my post count.) Saturday morning...Nothin. I think we need to keep checking, I will bring the 12 yr old Princess - she seems to find stuff, but stop posting if we don't find anything and then maybe we will get the goodies again. Well at least the Princess will.
TreasureGirl
I got an idea! How about we post in here when someone DOES find something in the coinstar! Seconded. No offense guys, but coming back to this thread genuinely interested in what you found and finding "nothing" all over the posts is a little irritating. Kind of like the boy who cried wolf... well, maybe not that bad
Art
Not to agrevate this topic but I've been wondering if CoinStar has changed their rejection criteria. The machines that I check here have been dry of rejects for several months now.
Dockwalliper
Being on the border I think theres more stuff to reject here. More people are aware of the CoinStar rejects now so you just have to keep checking.
Dockwalliper
To give you something tolook at, here's a CoinStar find from last year.
Dockwalliper
And here's one of my better finds, double silver CoinStar, about 3 years ago.
thedeadpoint
What is the red token?
TreasureGirl
Do they not accept halves in general? And why did it reject the '65?
Dockwalliper
What is the red token? Generic game token. I've found several just like it with my detector.
Dockwalliper
Do they not accept halves in general? And why did it reject the '65? Yes, the machine takes Half dollars. Most silver gets rejected because of the weight difference. Some coins get rejected because of dirt or a ding on the rim or just because the hopper is overloaded.
