Thanks guys. Yeah, it's a collection that keeps going. I recently finished one from each of the 13 colonies and I'd like to get a few more continentals as well. You can see them all here http://www.banknoteden.com/USA_Colonials.html

 

That's quite a nice collection Dave. Given the times notes of $6, $20, etc.must have represented a considerable sum of money.

Only early, later they became very worthless that the soldiers put them in their socks or to make fire for heating. There's a saying that "it's not worth a continental", because continentals became worthless.

True - and this note in particular, according to "Early Paper Money of America" was traded at only 22% when it was issued in 1778. (Of course I had to pay a little more than that ;-)
