I don't think it is real. The 100.000 looks out of place for that style. The highest denomination would be 50.000 but not for that year. I do not collect american banknotes, but from what I can see there is a small market for uncirculated sequential notes. Keeping in mind the dealer site and auction site price differences, the only advice I can suggest is that you research prices for 2013 $50 small note and look for the lowest price out there. Also mind you that it could take days to maybe years to sell them.

You have 5 dollars, United States. The image is blurred but is looks like a P-498. It is a United States, 5 Dollars, 1995 Federal Reserve Note. "F" is Atlanta GA.

It's a good try, you never know until you ask. Planchettes (red and green dots) are embedded and distributed randomly during the paper making process. Sometimes they just happen to be in unflattering locations. Depending on the paper, there are simple planchettes and then there are some that are fluorescent and change color under UV light. And there are some that change color upon contact with an alkaline solution. And some are thermochromic and change color with heat. There are even some that change into two different colors depending on the temp. I believe the ones on the Canadian Bird series are just simple ones, but I don't know I have never really tested them. Dave is correct, use a scanner to create an image file of the banknote. I upload my images to the banknotebank.com (http://www.banknotebank.com) Once the image is uploaded, you browse to the image on the web site. Then right click on the image and select Properties. That will show you the URL for the image. Just click on the address and select and copy it. Then click cancel, then go to Forum. Click on Insert other media and select "Insert image URL" Paste is the URL and click "Insert to Post"

De He Xiang, Hebei Province, 10 Tiao Remainder with no date. Never seen one that color, It's an odd color, I thought they were supposed to be yellow. Probably distressed to look old. It could be counterfeit. I could be wrong.

It is hard to find a good shop. All near me in New England seem to want to charge an arm and two legs for banknotes.

Nice but remember collecting is a lifelong thing ... A free Hosted or any hosted solution like redrocketsoftwaresolutions.co.uk or even a big site like colnect.com is not a very good choice for keeping a catalogue of your collection. It comes down to sustainability, how long the site will last. Will it be around thirty or forty years from now? Will it still always be free? Most such sites start free until they hit a size where they think they can charge for the service. Then you either pay up or move your catalog somewhere else. no one knows how long the site will last, and may disappear over night with all your data. A local solution is good, as long as you have backups and skill. Excel is the most common and Access is used as well. Both are customizable to your needs and both can embed pictures of the notes. If you want a WEB based solution, you can always use Google docs or Azure or even Wordpress, they all will accomplish the same and may last longer than redrocket et all. They also give you a bit more control of what to record.

People just stopped posting. I just toss a few up just to see if anyone is there. CoinTalk has some movement, but not a lot. Maybe world banknote collecting is fading in English speaking parts of the world.
