  1. I love the old classics but must go with Wrangler Old Dan on this one! And, there are BUFFALO on two of those statehood quarters and a whole bunch of other history and every 10 weeks something new is coming at you, at least for another year!
  2. Buffalo nickel wins hands down! Great design on BOTH sides!
  3. The mailman FINALLY brought me something worth posting. Today I received the Australian 2002 CommonWealth Games trimetallic (copper, silver and gold) $50 coin. Outstanding and in a league of its own and I managed to locate one right here in the U.S.! Only 5,000 made and I am proud to add it to my world collection!

    2002 €10

I have both of these coins as well (BU and Proof) and see their mintage is identical so again I must ask how their value compares today? I think this is somewhat rare to see mintages for both the BU and Proof coins the same.

I have these in both the unc. and proof version. With the mintage of the unc.(BU) being so low I can not help but wonder if the value of the unc.(BU) is increasing faster than the proof? Just curious as here in the U.S. many BU coins are worth far more than the heavily bought and favored proof coins. Any thoughts on this?
  6. Trantor_3 that is good news. Another package has found its very deserving owner in a land far away. Appreciate your efforts and really did try to find exceptional coins for you. Feel free any time my friend to just email and we will see what we can do! Thanks so much!
  7. A big thank you to Erik for getting a few Euros to me here in the Euro-less USA! By the time the dealers get them over here the average coin collector can't afford them and that is only if they manage to get them. Erik, Your selection of goodies is on the way and do hope you enjoy what I managed to pick up. Let me know and again thanks!
  8. The fine folks of Scotland must be having a field day with this one. I have already bought and received 6 of these notes, at highly inflated prices on Ebay, as all the golfers and non-collectors I know have asked me to obtain one for them. It amazes me that so many people over here are aware of this Scottish $5 note with Jack Nicklaus on them and most U.S. citizens don't even know we have new nickels? I was hoping the price would break a bit and I could pick up a few extras for selling later but that doesn't look like it is going to happen any time soon. None the less quite a few of these notes are now in the U.S. so they will never see circulation again!
  9. Heading for the coin shop today to do a little shopping for Trantor_3 so I can return his favor and put a little something in his mailbox! Trading has brought me the utmost pleasure and helping another collector fulfill his set is a very rewarding experience. I just wish I had the opportunity to start this 30 years ago but I had to wait on the internet and computers to make it all possible. For someone who never wanted a computer in his home I have found I was never so wrong about anything in my life. The world of the computer is far greater than I could ever have imagined and it has become a very important part of my life and serves as the most important tool in my world of collecting. Would be lost without it!
  10. Eagerly awaiting a new coin to ADOPT! Seems the silver euro's are coming a little slower this year? Either that or I am missing a bunch of issues! Also thanks for the list you posted. Do believe I am up to date but will get the coins out and double check to make sure.
  11. Yes, I would like to know how many Dutch silver euro's have been issued so I will know how many I have missed? Hopefully this will be one country I am up to date on. Let us all know!
  12. Sir Sisu I can always pick you one up and ship it over. No problem on my end as we can always work it out in a trade some day. Just let me know!
  13. The new IMPROVED 2006 Redbook just yesterday and boy am I impressed! Best ever Redbook in my opinion. Lots of new!!!
  14. Ah, you should have waited as there is quite a bit of new information in this 2006 edition that has never been in the Redbook before. New layout with a crisp fresh look. Pitch the 2005 and grab a 2006 and you will be glad you did.
  15. Absolutely the best Red Book in the last 30 years. Lots of new information and better photos of the coins. I like the improvements 100%!
  16. AEtheling did those washers ever find their way to England? Looking forward to your remarks concerning what I found and sent your way. Hopefully something in that package will bring a smile to your face!
  17. Well I am glad you cleared that up as I knew it COULDN'T be your birth year Even the British can't last that long! Guess I am like you when it comes to coins with cancer. Get rid of them in a hurry!
  18. Okay, I have to ask, why the 1882 H cent? And, NoHope the only place that coin would look better is at my house!
  19. I would like a couple of these as well if you can still add another name to your list. Just let me know what it will come to and how you want to receive payment. Hope I can return the favor someday soon.
  20. Aetheling I have sent PM! Can't stand to see palladium missing from your collection.
  21. I like silver, I like gold, I like platinum, I like copper and I like palladium! I like to feel the weight in my hand and hold the history. I do grab some old currency now and then if it is within my budget as keepers for my little boy. Had some nice stuff on display a few years ago and they all got stolen in a break in so it is taking awhile to get any paper back in the old collection! Now a famous quote from someone NOT famous----ME! "We eat to survive, we do not survive to eat!"
  22. I have coins that are much older and had no idea until reading this just how valuable they really were!!!! By this guy's standards I have been a millionaire all these years and didn't even no it!!!!! And I thought inflation was bad?
  23. In my humble opinion the dollar coin can and would succeed IF the Federal government would FORCE the banking industry to call them out from the Fed. The only way our banks, in this area, would do so is if they were to face fines for NOT supplying the coins to the populace. Until that time the dollar coin is doomed as the banking industry is the culprit here, not the individual. Coins involve labor costs to the banks, which they do NOT want and then there is the weight factor, rolling, counting and storing. Until Uncle Sam forces the dollar coin it will never be available in this area! Thats a fact! You can blame anyone or thing you would like but it is NOT that people won't use them! They can't get them!
  24. If you still need that uncirculated Delaware quarter just email me and I will get one on the way to you. Also send mailing address!
  25. The British have landed, the British have landed! One if by land, and two if by sea...they put it on an airplane and thats how it got to me!!! The cartwheel is now a permanent resident in the State of Indiana! Will be in touch very soon concerning items coming back your way. Great to add such a nice example of this one year issue to my collection! Also I HAVE COIN PEOPLE CASH!!!
