1941 nickel no mint mark. Silver?

In laymans terms, Can sombody explain the process of toning, and when it starts and stops (ie, if I have a very slighty toned coin will it continue to tone?)

Oh, those things. I've found a bunch of stuff in them before. Havn't checked them since I was a kid.

Are silver dimes rare or valuable? I got 2 silver dimes and 2 silver mercury dimes. good? PS. also just checked my baggy and found 2 silver quarters and 2 silver nickels. Are these a good addition to a novice's collection?

I have one with the U.S. mint on it dated 1832. is that when it was made?
