Profile Information

    Male
  • Location
Kingman, Arizona; frequent visitation to California
  • Interests
Crown Size Silver Coins primarily, always by type, never by date
Specifically:
Austrian & German Crowns
British Crowns from Edward VII to 1965
Chinese 20th Century Dollars
Icelandic 1930 Althing Series (all three coins)
Russian Commemoratives
Swiss Shooting Talers
USA Commemoratives by type (silver & gold)
USA Dollars by type
USA Gold by type

It should be noted that many large copper coins are of interest as well such as the British 1793 Two Penny Cartwheel and the Russian 5 & 10 Kopeks. Perhaps eventually I will expand to include foreign gold, maybe even some patterns.

It should also be noted that some smaller silver coins and some gold may be included to complete coin sets. I would also point out that commemoratives typically have more appeal than circulation strikes and therefore may be included in smaller sizes than what otherwise might be accepted as crowns.

My collections may be found under "Roark" at the PCGS & NGC registries.

  1. Can you tell me where you read about "Ulfliot the lawgiver" and the "King of Thule"?
  2. Concerning the Iceland 1930 Althing series, does anyone know the significance of the mythological & historical figures on the coins? Who are the figures on the coins? Does anyone know a translation for the runes on the 2 Kronur coin?
