  1. I obtained a group of French jetons in a bulk deal.I know what a jeton is, but I have no experience collecting them, nor do I have any catalogues dealng with such. The variety in general is mnd boggling, the artistry on some is excellent. With the obvious low mintages the value for nice examples is criminally low. This causes more disdain for the U.S. coin market. I will stop before I start. I realize I need to get the pics posted , I am also having problems with that. I am usually not this braindead, just the navigation on this site is giving me trouble. If anyone can help me out, I will definitely appreciate it. I look forward to learning about these jetons as well. Thabk youm
  2. Here's my .002 : 1. Obv.vf+ rev xf edge damage as well 2. Obv. Vf rev vf appears to have been cleaned. Hairlines ( many) on obverse 3. Obv xf+ rev near au nice strike. I think #3 is a very appealling coin. Nonetheless, I don't have a Krausse front of me for info. I recently sold an 1813 rouble that went au obv unc rev. Uneven wear, albeit slight, seems common on the large silver.
  3. Hi, I'm Robert. I collect many different things, but old coins are always priority 1 for me. I started when I was seven years old with a 1941 GB farthing. Needless to say, my favorites are the English. Late hammered through some Victoria. I also collect Scandinavian ( esp. Charles XII and Ulrika Elenorae [?] ), any decent European crowns pre 1830. I have always gotten a kick out of non collectors.reactions to , say, a 1680 european minor. They can't wrap there mind around the time difference. I love the history and handling a piece of that. Not to mention they knew how to mint some beautiful coins . Whew. Thanks for having me.
