  1. Hello everyone. I recently started my 1st thread in regards to a 33mm Alexander the Great tetradrachm coin that I recently purchased. No matter who I talk to in the coin world online, I cannot seem to find anyone who has a solution for my predicament... The coin has a relatively high profile, and after checking with AirTite's customer service, I learned that they do not have a high-relief capsule that would fit my needs (in terms of diameter). It looks like their smallest-diameter capsule is the X38 (38mm). Does anyone know if it would be possible for me to pick up that particular capsule, and then get a different ring with enough thickness to fill the gap? Any other suggestions/advice on another type of capsule are of course welcome! Thanks!!! This site has been really helpful for me since I signed up. Glad I found it!
  2. No problem! Thank you for the welcoming! I checked with AirTite customer service, and it appears that there is not a capsule that can accommodate the high profile on this one... Any suggestions on that by chance? Thanks again!
  3. Hello everyone. I'm new to the hobby. I purchased my first coin (an Alexander), listed online with this heading: "Alexander the Great Tetradrachm 175-125 BC Large Silver Coin". I'm attempting to retrieve some information on the region in which it was struck, and any other information applicable to the coin's production. Given the date, it was produced a couple centuries after his death. The listing contained the following verbiage... "Alexander the Great Silver Tetradrachm 175-125 BC. Two special things to notice about this particular coin, the obverse is doublestruck and on the reverse the helmet below eagle is uncommon variety. Weighs 16.8 and guaranteed genuine. You get the exact coin in the photo." Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!!
