ALL AAFES POGS /MPC's Collectors .. I have several thousands of POGS Available for Trade ... Most of my POGS are Circulated, very lightly used, I have completed my 3 sets for my daughters and have also helped other folks interested in the pogs complete theirs. Let 2020 be the Year you finish yours.
There are 533 different Pogs produced as of the 2017 last printing.
Although AAFES officials say they never intended for the pogs to become a collectors item, that is exactly what has happened. Servicemembers as well as Civilians working in the contingency area are saving the cardboard circles as souvenirs of their tours of duty or as additions to their personal collections of military memorabilia.AAFES POGS UPDATE>> Nov 2017 AAFES released a new printing , the 16th printing dated 2017. These Pogs are already showing up in the secondary market as of Nov 2017:
1. One complete set of 533 Pogs >>> Face Value $ 75.05
2. There are 34 OIF Pogs, 33 OEF Pogs and 2 OND Pogs
3. The 11th Printing has the most Pogs > 39
4. The 8th and 12th Printing have the least Pogs> 26
5. Three Printings Have no Nickels >> 8th,12th, and 13th.
FOR Sale or Trade>> I have 2594 nickels .... 2511 dimes ... 2809 Quarters ... PM me with your needs and lets get those sets complete !! Over 7900 spare Pogs.

The Complete Set 497 ... or 533 ( Includes the 16th Printing ) 497 sells for $ 1595.00 and the 533 complete sells for 1850.00

The newly released are going for about 20 to 80 X face value .. ie 5c pogs going for 3.50 to 5.00, 10c pogs going for about 4.00 to 5.00 and 25c going for $4-$5 as well .. Some of the older pogs are going for $15 to $20 ... Most expensive Pogs are 100.00 to 250.00 ..

Sorry for the typo on the previous post. That date should have read November 2017 .. These and the majority of the older versions are also listed on Ebay.

AAFES POGS are alive and well. Due to the population growing in the contingency areas , ie Iraq , Afghanistan, Kuwait, Jordan , Aafes developed a new series of AAFES pogs dated 1017. If you have any interest in the AAFES Pogs, please dont hesitate to PM me ... Thanks for the read.

No Need to be ... I was able to obtain a few graded PCGS/NGC at a great price. Belonging to the Baltimore Coin Club has its perks .... I should have listened to your advice regarding your buying practice. Now that I have at least 8 graded, I am looking to either submit or buy the rest graded. I agree with you ... Beautiful Coin !!

Sorry for the timely response.. I just came across this question. The Elvis Pogs were limited to 50,000 by the Elvis Foundation. These Elvis Pogs were saved by everyone and for those that made it back to the states, when the Pogs were cashed in at the AAFES Facility, the Pogs were destroyed.

The Pogs can be acquired by knowing a service member or someone in a contingency area across the pond, or you can buy them off of Ebay.

Hey Gang,
Selling off some AAFES Pogs to fund other purchases. I will try to keep prices competitive, usually Ebay or less. Sometimes a POG does command a premium. If you are interested in a POG and don't like the price, pm with an offer. All POGS will be shipped on my dime. Paypal F/F preferred or if G/S selected, please add 3% to sale. Here we go.
The need for POGs was created by the lack of change in Operation Enduring Freedom. Pogs are lighter than coins which does decrease shipping weight as previously mentioned but there were other reasons as well. By having the military ship coins it would require tasking soldiers to perform the mission and put them at risk. AAFES felt the coins were not worth putting soldiers at risk if an alternative could be found.
