  1. Two cut Halfpennies, one Richard I, one John. Sold as "Two hammered coins". It's made my day!
  2. The only "Token" I see is that shown by 'kryptonitecomics'. I thought that to be a token used for currency, it should show "Good for...." Or the full value? I don't save them, but it's just a thought.

  11. Never had a circulated 25p but I received a £5 coin in change at Tesco! As it wasn't in too good a condition, I spent it next visit to the store!
  12. "darn shiney coins." - How do publishers, like Coincraft, produce all the example pictures in 'matt' finish. It certainly helps with discerning detail!

    I see that my gallery I had before the hiatus has gone. I don't think I'll start it again, I'll just use Omnicoin. What do you think?
  14. Another coin book - this time an American one! "The Complete Book of Coin Collecting" by Joseph Coffin 1959. I'm worried that my book collecting is outstripping my coin collecting!
  15. As I collect Celtic, Saxon and hammered English, the chances of finding an uncirculated are zilch!
  16. A 1970 book " An advanced Guide to Coin Collectiong" by Howard Linecar. A first edition too!

  19. Did you notice, there is no mention of Canada or Turkey - except on the maps!!! Yes! I bought one and appart from the above I enjoyed it
  20. Yes! Since re-registering on the new site, I have not been able to get pictures in postings! What's changed? ( Nice to see the site back)
