  1. sounds good... man i can't stand those cleaned coins.. but something tells me that there's gotta be some people out there that love it and would consider it a score. that's inexperience or they're 85 years old or something, so nevermind that.. it's just painful to look at a really detailed coin with an unnatural look to it.. and selling them feels like a gamble every time... especially those vf/xf black coins... or with the red 'paint' look... or with the 'gold' streaks all over it..... speaking of lincolns.
  2. i hear ya,,, but i bet ya anything a pcgs label or even ngc would bring in at least another $1... that's just how conditioned we are at this point i think. from what i've seen it's sad but true.. i just had 8 morgans on ebay, all were ngc except one was ntc.. that was the only one that didn't sell. if igc sent an au58 back to me i might see what the others would say... which, like you said, wouldn't matter too much i suppose.. the rarity is what'll drive this one regardless.. but still, i wonder what went on behind the scenes here..
  3. let's say Lincoln's.. regardless of the standards i have to assume that if anyone pays for a VF, and got an ugly XF would be disappointed.. maybe if they paid VG.. i have no clue hence the thread i guess ha
  4. feel blessed that you're not as moronic as this... what do you call them even... but there must be billions of em? will it ever end...
  5. let's say it's XF in details, but dark.. if not flat out ugly? just round it down a few notches i suppose huh... a net grade... but how far down, and what determins that?
  6. looks like the auction has been closed, but without even seeing it this sounds like the dumbest thing to ever hit numismatics.. or earth for that matter where do these people come from and why hasn't evolution helped them along like everyone else
  7. 1895 v nickel.. worn down to nothing but in circulation nontheless
  8. his eyes are mezmorizing.... and i like german coins more than any other world coins.. except canadian.. are they considered worldly dark siders even.... nice avatar.. i've seen that movie way too many times gotta love it
  9. yeah yah never know what'll happen but i think paying for that number is worth it if you know you can resell it for more than you paid for it at any given moment.. and if you can afford to hang onto it, values in that range get more action than the 67.... save it for a couple decades and buy a new car with your $1500 investment... one year even, pay a few bills for free... just for collection's sake... forget it, i'd go for the 67 in a heartbeat we all know that the only difference is that dumb number on the plastic....
  10. what's happenin Art... the coin shop thing is going superfantastic at least..., i finally held a gauden in my hand the other day.. felt good. then this platinum popped up and i was just in awe.. so about a month into it i'm having fun, and i haven't forgotten about your IHC obsession, or the new found large cent infliction.. in fact i looked at a few of the lg cents yesterday but they were all lower grade so i didnt bother pming ya... but i dunno, there are some ag/g 1802-30's and up in there if you're interested, but there should be better ones somewhere. i've yet to dive into the IHC stash so i still dont know whats here.. wrapping up the lincolns now, we're doing jeff's next, and indians after that.. so i'll hunt ya down once that happens for sure.... 28plain.. i hear ya
  11. yabbadabbadoooo... niiiice... i just get to deliver it, but i had to scan it.. thought youall might like a look... ain't she purtay..
  12. i love strange brew.., seen that movie at least 100 times.. oh, and sets all the way....... all-the-way
