Full Version: 1993 misplaced 9 and 3?

I have no clue if this is an error, or just an interesting fluke. I have two 1993 cents, and both of them have a small piece of metal that makes it look like a misplaced end of a 9 or 3.

the first 2 look like die gouges... and the last one does apear to be a small rim clip

Very nice placement on the gouge if you ask me! I searched 2500 cents the other day and only thing interesting were those 3 and a nice red 57 wheatie. Meh, too bad I don't collect for the copper in them....about 65% were pre 82.

yeah there quite a few different die gouges from 1909-today that have been argued as being something more then a gouge for a long time.
